Tabs
The Traveler's Journal is a window of the game client itself: switching tabs is instant, the window stays in place and refreshes by itself while open. In the registers, choosing a sub-register or card changes instantly; in Titles the achievement groups, and in Quests all your active quests, appear in a single scrolling list; quest steps with a counter have a progress bar. The time left on merchant orders counts down minute by minute. The window has a dark walnut frame with bronze; long texts (such as the NPC Guide's cards) are written on light parchment, and the buttons are bronze. The quest and order windows in the game look the same.
You can move the window anywhere on the screen; it stays where you put it while you switch tabs and when you open the quest log or the help window.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Quests | Your active quests (including your hunting contract) and the next step of each; the "Quest log", "Open the Quest Tracker"/"Close the Quest Tracker" and (if you are on the Traveler's Road) "Show the way" buttons |
| Titles | Your worn title, the titles you earned (wear one with a click), achievement groups → Titles |
| Registers | The Fisherman's Log, Plant Types, Plant Colors; every entry is an illustrated card → Gatherer |
| Contests | The rankings of the weekly contests, participation and your own standing; the time to closing counts down live and refreshes by itself while open (the Order of the Week has its ranking in its own window) → Contests |
| Trade Orders | Your reputation, today's delivery counts and your active orders → Crafter |
| NPC Guide | "Where do I buy this?": type the name of an item or merchant in the search box; you see who sells it and for how much. Show the way leads you to the nearest merchant (through a moongate or the ferry if needed); the arrow switches off when you arrive; left-click the merchant → Buy. You can also search by the item's other-language name. Right-click the arrow to turn it off → NPC Guide |
| Events | An upcoming or running town raid: the town, theme, time left, directions to the gate; your contribution and tier in this raid, the reward table and the results of the latest raids → Community |
| Notifications | For each kind of notification: card / chat only / off; test notification → Notifications |
| Recent notices | The text of cards you missed or closed (the last 50) |
| Understanding the Game | An in-game summary of the game's own mechanics under seven headings: Item properties (the caps), Combat, Armor, Stats, Magic, Quality, Terms. Details in the guide → Item Properties |
Help, What happens if I die? and (for Young players) Renounce Young status are not in the journal but in the Help window opened by the HELP button on your paperdoll → Community
Cards in the registers
- Entries you have found are in color; the ones you have not are black silhouettes; the box in the corner shows the entry.
- Press the button under a card and the area below tells you how and where that entry is found.
- Next to the bar you see how many entries are left to the next title.
Notifications
When something important happens, a card opens in the top right corner of the screen. The same notification is also written in the chat line, so it is not lost if you miss it.
- Cards stack: up to four at a time; when a new one arrives the older ones slide down, and when one closes the ones below move up. Extra cards wait in line.
- The timer stops while the mouse is over a card. The card does not close until you finish reading; when you move the mouse away it stays a little longer and then closes. The thin bar underneath shows the time left.
- The same notification coming again and again counts on one card: like "×3". The screen does not fill up with the same line.
- The color stripe on the left tells you the importance: pale gold information, green success, orange warning, red urgent. The duration also depends on importance (5–12 seconds).
- Left-clicking a card opens the Traveler's Journal on the Recent notices tab and closes the card; there you read the full text of this card and the earlier ones. To close a card without opening it, use the right mouse button.
- No cards open during combat: while you are in war mode or a fight is going on, cards wait and appear when the fight is over. The chat line still gets them at once.
| Kind | When |
|---|---|
| Event | The staff's calendar events: 1 hour and 15 minutes before they start, and once when they start |
| Contest | When you enter the top three of a weekly contest or your rank rises, when someone passes you while you are in the top three, 24 hours and 1 hour before closing (even if you have not taken part), new contests at the start of the week, a short weekly reminder at login, results and rewards |
| Progress | When a Traveler's Road quest is completed, when you earn a new achievement, when a merchant order is delivered, when your Young time is running low and when it ends |
| Announcement | Staff announcements, the countdown for planned maintenance/restarts and their cancellation |
| Support | The staff's reply to your help request and its closing (if written while you were offline, it arrives when you log in). It cannot be switched off in the settings; it always comes as a card |
| Ancient Watcher | What the game's AI watcher tells you: warnings (orange), mutes and jail (red), penalty lifted / mute ended (green), replies to your help requests, town raid news |
Recent notices: the latest cards are listed under the notifications (50 entries per session). If you missed a card, you can read its text there.
Skill cards: a card appears every time one of your skills passes a multiple of 10 (e.g. Mining reaching 60); when it reaches 100 the card says you have mastered it. Small gains (0.1 points) still only go to chat.
Settings: Traveler's Journal → Notifications: for each kind, Card (card + chat), Chat only or Off. Announcements and the Ancient Watcher cannot be turned off (they at least go to chat). The setting applies to all characters on your account. With Send a test notification you can see where the cards appear.
Quest Tracker
A small, semi-transparent panel that stays on the game screen. It updates by itself and stays where you move it. It has these parts:
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Quests | Your story quests (Traveler's Road, First Companion…): the quest's name, the next step, a progress bar for countable steps (e.g. 3/5) and the direction and distance to that quest's target ("northeast, 42 steps"). |
| Jobs | Zoologist's order (which animal, time left, where it is found), hunting contract (target, how many you have hunted, direction to the dungeon entrance), merchant orders (matching items in your backpack, time left). Jobs are not limited by the quest limit; they always show. |
| Contests | Your rank and score in the contests you joined this week |
| Young | The play time or skill points left until your protection ends |
The quest you are tracking: its heading is green with (tracked) next to it; the arrow on the screen points to it.
-
To track another quest, click its line: the arrow turns to that quest at once. Your choice is saved on your character.
-
If you have not chosen one, the quest you progressed most recently is tracked.
-
The tracked quest is at the top, then those ready to turn in ("Return to the quest giver"), then the ones you progressed most recently.
-
[map]: centers that quest's target on the world map.
-
The quest count limit only applies to the Quests part (right-click → at most how many quests: 1/3/5/10, 5 by default for new characters). If quests are hidden, it says "+2 more quests — in the Traveler's Journal".
-
The - / + in the heading: collapses the panel to a single line or opens it.
-
Right-click: lock (no dragging), background darkness, at most how many quests, open the Traveler's Journal, close the panel.
-
Its position and settings are saved in your character profile.
-
It is on by default for Young players and off for others.
-
To turn it on and off: Traveler's Journal → Quests → Open the Quest Tracker (while it is open the button says Close the Quest Tracker), or
[takip. -
Quest log:
[gorev. You can have at most 10 quests at once; you are warned when the log is full.
