Order Rewards and Contests
Merchant orders and hunting contracts give reward items in addition to gold and reputation. The weekly contests measure the difficulty and quality of the work, not the number of deliveries.
Cooldown between deliveries
- After you deliver an order or contract, for 60 minutes you cannot take a new job or make a new delivery.
- The cooldown is shared by all your characters: delivering with one character and switching to another does not skip it.
- Merchant orders (crafting and gathering are one line), hunting contracts and zoologist's orders are separate lines: the cooldown of one does not affect the others.
- An open order is not cancelled during this time; its own timer keeps running.
- The daily limits are unchanged: crafting 6, gathering 4, hunting 4, zoologist 3 (per person).
Reward items
Your gold reward stays the same; the reward item drops in addition. The items can be traded between players.
Who can get them?
| Line | Condition | Common reward | Rare reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant order (crafting) | Your craft skill 80+ and the order's recipe 60+ | 6% (+2% for an exceptional order, +3% for an order with a material requirement) | 0.8% |
| Merchant order (fisherman) | Fishing 80+ | 6% | 0.8% |
| Hunting contract | Contract of tier 3 or 4 | 8% | 1% |
- Guarantee: if no reward has dropped for 15 deliveries, the next delivery is certain to give a common reward.
- Weekly limit: rewards from deliveries are at most 3 common + 1 rare per person per week (the total over all your characters). The week resets on Monday at 00:00 (Istanbul time). The contests' threshold reward and the Order of the Week's rare reward count separately from this limit.
- The reward comes to your backpack; if your backpack is full or you are not in the game at that moment, it is put in your bank. You get a notification when it drops.
- If a Bonus reward line appears in the merchant window, that order can give a reward item.
- Blacksmiths and tailors: masters of 80+ in these two crafts take bulk orders (BODs) instead of merchant orders (left-click the merchant → Bulk Order Info), so merchant reward items do not drop for them; BODs have their own rewards → Crafter. The Order of the Week is open to them too: left-click the merchant → Trade Order; an Order of the Week button appears in the small window that opens (if it is your craft that week and your skill is 80+).
- Farmer orders and zoologist's orders give no reward items.
Crafting rewards
Common (half are craft talismans, half are craft-specific items):
| Item | Craft | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| [Craft] Talisman (e.g. Carpentry Talisman) | all | Goes in the talisman slot; only for that craft, crafting success +5–10% and exceptional chance +5–10%. |
| Distilling Alembic | Alchemist | While in your backpack, an alchemy product has a 20% chance to come out one extra. 50 uses. |
| Calligrapher's Inkwell | Scribe | The same, for inscription. 50 uses. |
| Bountiful Cauldron | Cook | The same, for cooking. 50 uses. |
| Bundle of rare logs (heartwood, bloodwood or frostwood, 20–40) | Carpenter, Bowyer | Colored wood. |
| Treasure map (level 2 or 3) | Cartographer | Decode it and dig up its chest. |
| Message in a bottle | Fisherman | Leads to a sunken ship's chest. |
Rare:
| Item | Craft | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Masterwork Mold | all (except fisherman) | While in your backpack, the first exceptional weapon, armor, clothing or tool you craft is certain to be a Masterwork (special color, "Masterwork — your name", +10% durability). Single use. |
| ML recipe scroll | Carpenter, Bowyer | Unlocks a new recipe when learned. |
| Special fishing net | Fisherman | Brings up rare sea creatures in deep water. |
Hunting rewards
| Item | Kind | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pouch of Rare Materials | common | Spined, horned or barbed leather, or red dragon scales. |
| Dungeon Rune: [dungeon] | common (only for dungeon contracts; for wilderness contracts a pouch or trophy instead) | Double-click it: if you wait 3 seconds without moving, you are teleported to the entrance area of the contract's dungeon (with the pets next to you). 3 uses. It does not work in combat, while you are a criminal, while overloaded, or where teleporting is forbidden. |
| Hunting Trophy: [creature] | common | A creature's head to decorate your house. |
| Hunter's Talisman | rare | +10–25% damage against one kind of creature. |
Weekly contests
You do not sign up: you enter the ranking the moment you do the work. The week closes on Monday at 00:00 Istanbul time (if the server is down at that moment, when it comes back up). The rankings are shown in Traveler's Journal → Contests and on the website's Events page.
| Contest | What you have to do · points | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Biggest Fish of the Week | Cast your line in deep water (Fishing 80+); the heaviest big fish you catch counts. | 60 stones |
| Gatherer's Week | Left-click a farmer or fisherman → Trade Order. Only orders for wheat, turnips and big fish count (fish, cotton, flax, pumpkins and vegetables that the merchant also sells do not). A farmer order is 1 point, a big fish order 5–6 points depending on your Fishing. | 10 points |
| Hunter's Week | Left-click the warriors' guildmaster → Hunting Contract. 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 points by contract tier. | 20 points |
| Law Week | Drag a wanted murderer's head onto a guard; 1 per head. | 3 heads |
| Craft Week | Left-click a craft merchant → Trade Order; deliver something you made yourself. Points depend on the labor: a GM recipe ≈ 8, exceptional ≈ 12, more with a material requirement. Bulk orders (BODs) count too: a 20-piece exceptional iron BOD is 12 points; the colored material bonus only goes to masters who can work that material, a large BOD counts at most 3 pieces; craft skill 70+, at most 3 BODs a day. | 50 points |
| Zoologist's Week | Left-click the zoologist → Zoologist's Order. An order is 1 point, a new species not yet in your register 2 points; both get a bonus by taming difficulty (harder animals give more). | 15 points |
| Order of the Week | See below. Its ranking is in its own window and on the website. | 10 points |
Rewards
| Rank | Full reward | Order of the Week |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 10,000 gp | 3,000 gp |
| 2nd | 5,000 gp | 1,500 gp |
| 3rd | 2,500 gp | 750 gp |
The gold goes into your bank. The top three also get a trophy showing the contest, rank and score (in the bank) and an achievement badge; the winner is announced to the server.
- Equal scores share a rank: if two people tie for first, both are first and they split the first and second prizes half and half; the next person is third.
- The gold reward depends on participation: if fewer than 5 participants count for the reward (those reaching the minimum), no gold is given, only the trophy and badge; with 5–15 participants, a share of participants / 15 of the reward (e.g. 60% with 9 participants); 15 or more get the full reward.
- If your score is below the minimum you get no gold; the trophy and badge are still given.
- Threshold reward: in Craft Week, Hunter's Week and the Order of the Week, everyone who finishes the week having reached the minimum score gets one common reward item, regardless of rank.
Fair contest rules:
- Characters of the same person (all game accounts linked to the same web account) and those connecting from the same IP address that week count as one player (their best score counts).
- The week turns over exactly at Monday 00:00: fish caught, orders delivered, contracts and heads turned in after that moment count toward the new week.
- You get a notification when you enter the top three, when someone passes you while you are in the top three, and 24 hours and 1 hour before closing → Notifications.
- The number of participants, the conditions and your own standing are always shown in the window.
Order of the Week
Each week, in turn, one craft (Bowcraft/Fletching → Carpentry → Blacksmithy → Tailoring) gets a single job for its masters:
- What: an advanced recipe of the craft (80–100 skill; 70–100 for a craft with no suitable recipe in that range), 10 pieces, from at least a certain colored material. This week's job is also shown on the website's Events page.
- Who: your skill in that craft must be 80+.
- How: left-click a merchant of that craft → Trade Order → the Order of the Week link at the bottom of the window (if you have no job at the moment, the Order of the Week button in the small window) → Deliver. One delivery a week; the best 10 matching items in your backpack are taken.
- Points (per item): normal 1, exceptional 2; +1 for each material tier above the one required; Masterwork +5. Only non-magical items you made yourself count: unsigned items count at most as many as you made of that kind yourself; someone else's signed or Masterwork items do not count.
- Reward: the top three get a trophy and 3,000 / 1,500 / 750 gp (depending on participation, with the rules above); everyone who delivers gets one common reward item.
- The rare reward item goes to at most 3 people: ranks in order, ties together; if a tied group does not fit within the three-person limit, that rank and those below get no rare. If fewer than 5 participants count for the reward, no rare is given.
Orders with a material requirement
Some merchant orders ask for a specific material (colored ingots, colored leather or ML wood). The order window shows which material only is accepted (and whether it must also be exceptional). The material is chosen from the tiers your skill can handle; each tier gives labor +15%, more contest points and a +3% chance for a reward item.
