Join

One installer is all UORoots needs: the game client, the launcher and game files that match the server. You do not need to install Ultima Online, .NET or Visual C++ separately.

1. Sign up on the website and verify your email; open your game account on the My Account page.
2. Download the installer (about 1.5 GB ZIP), extract it and run the setup inside.
3. Open the launcher with the UORoots shortcut on your desktop; updates download by themselves. Pick ENGLISH next to PLAY, press PLAY and log in with your game account.
4. For your first quests, visit Innkeeper Agatha at the inn in Britain.

Requirements: Windows 10 (1803 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit; about 4.5 GB of free space. On macOS or Linux, play in your browser at play.uoroots.com.
